The Nakamoto Library Manifesto
Ideas are worth preserving.
In 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published a nine-page paper that would change the world.
But Bitcoin didn't emerge from nothing.
It was built on decades of ideas about cryptography, economics, mathematics, computer science, and individual freedom. Ideas developed, debated, challenged, and passed from one generation of thinkers to the next.
Satoshi connected those ideas in a way nobody had before.
Since then, hundreds of books have been written exploring what Bitcoin is, how it works, why it matters, and what it might mean for the future.
Some explain the technology. Others explore its economic, political, philosophical, and social implications.
Together, they tell the story of one of the most remarkable experiments of our time.
We believe every part of that story deserves to be preserved.
Not just the bestsellers. Not just the influential works. Not just the books we agree with.
Every Bitcoin book.
Our mission is simple: to catalog every Bitcoin book ever published.
To create a comprehensive, chronological record of Bitcoin literature, making it easy for anyone to discover the books, authors, and ideas that have shaped its history.
The Nakamoto Library isn't meant to exist only as a list on a screen.
We're also building a physical library, one book at a time.
A place where these works can be collected, preserved, and explored in person. Where readers can discover forgotten titles, encounter unfamiliar perspectives, and experience the history of Bitcoin through the books themselves.
And with every book we add, we're one step closer to preserving the entire collection for future generations.
Bitcoin's story is still being written. New books will challenge old assumptions, introduce new perspectives, and capture moments that future generations may struggle to imagine.
Our responsibility is to make sure those books aren't forgotten.
So that decades from now, anyone curious about Bitcoin can explore not just what it became, but how people understood it along the way.
Books outlive trends. Ideas outlive their authors. And knowledge, once shared, can change the world.
Every book in the Nakamoto Library is part of the Bitcoin story.
We're here to make sure none of them are lost.
